Give your AI a permanent memory

Stop starting every chat by re-explaining who you are, what you do, and how you like things written.

The single biggest reason AI feels generic is that it forgets you the moment you close the tab. Every new chat, you're back to square one, re-typing your business, your tone, your rules. You can fix that once and never do it again. Here are the three layers of memory that turn a blank-slate chatbot into something that already knows you.

What's inside

1

Why it forgets you every time

By default, most AI chats are stateless: each conversation starts fresh with no knowledge of the last one. That's a privacy-sensible default, but it means the burden of context is on you, every single time. The fix isn't a better prompt. It's giving the AI a place to remember.

What this means for you: if you feel like you're training the same new hire over and over, you're not doing it wrong, you just haven't turned memory on yet.
2

The three layers of memory

There are three places your context can live, from quickest to most powerful. Most people use none of them.

What this means for you: you don't need all three on day one. Turn on built-in memory today, write one about-me file this week, and you've already fixed 90% of the 'generic AI' problem.
3

The about-me file that does the most work

The highest-leverage move is a short document that says who you are, what your business does, who your customers are, and how you like things written. Paste it into your AI's custom-instructions or memory settings once. From then on, every reply is shaped by it, no setup speech required.

Keep it short

One page. Role, business, audience, tone, three things to always do, three to never do. Longer isn't better.

Keep it current

Revisit it when your offer or focus changes. A stale profile quietly steers every answer wrong.

What this means for you: this one file is the difference between AI that writes like a stranger and AI that writes like it works for you.
