Stop wasting time with AI

Find the hours you're quietly losing every week, then let AI show you exactly what to cut, hand off, or automate.

Here's an uncomfortable truth: busy and profitable are not the same thing. Most business owners I meet are drowning in work, yet couldn't tell you which of those hours actually moved the needle last month. This is a simple audit that fixes that. You give AI a week of your real activity, your calendar, your task list, your inbox, and it sorts every hour by what it's actually worth, then hands you a short list of what to stop doing. It takes about 90 minutes and it's the most clarifying thing I ask new clients to do.

What's inside

Why busy isn't profitable

A full calendar feels productive. It rarely is. Most of us drift into a pattern where the loudest, easiest, most familiar tasks fill the day, and the high-value work gets whatever's left, which is usually nothing. The problem isn't effort. It's that you can't see where the effort goes. You feel the exhaustion but not the shape of it. This audit gives the week a shape, so you can finally point at the hours that are costing you and do something about them.

The 5 tiers: where every hour actually sits

The whole audit rests on one idea: every hour you work falls into one of five tiers, from the work that directly pays you to the work that just fills time. Once each task has a tier, the answer of what to cut becomes obvious.

💼

Paid delivery Highest value

The work clients actually pay you for. Delivering the service, the sessions, the builds. Protect this ruthlessly. It's the point.

📞

Pipeline High value

The work that creates future paid work: sales calls, proposals, following up warm leads. Neglect this and delivery dries up in 90 days.

📣

Marketing Medium value

Building attention and trust: content, posting, showing up. Important, but the easiest to let expand to fill all available time.

🌱

Self-investment Medium value

Learning, systems, getting better. Genuinely valuable, and also where "productive procrastination" loves to hide.

🧾

Overhead Lowest value

Admin, chasing, sorting, formatting, the busywork. Necessary, but almost always the first thing that should be cut, delegated or automated.

What this means for you: most people discover their overhead tier has quietly eaten the hours that should have gone to pipeline. That single realisation is usually worth the 90 minutes on its own.

How the audit works

You don't do the sorting by hand. AI does. You feed it your raw week, it categorises every entry into the five tiers, adds up the hours, and shows you the split. Four prompts, run in order, take you from a messy list to a clear dashboard.

1 · Dumpyour raw week
2 · Sortinto 5 tiers
3 · Analysefind the leaks
4 · Dashboardsee it clearly
What you'll need: Claude (or any capable AI), and a rough record of how you spent last week, straight from your calendar, your task app, or just typed from memory. Messy is fine. The AI cleans it up.

The 4 copy-paste Claude prompts

These are the exact prompts. Run them one after another in the same conversation, so the AI keeps your data in context. Here's a peek at the first one.

You are my time-and-money auditor. I'm going to paste a rough log of how I spent my working hours last week. For each entry, ask me any quick clarifying questions, then get ready to categorise it into one of five tiers: Paid delivery, Pipeline, Marketing, Self-investment, Overhead. Do not categorise yet. First, confirm you understand the five tiers and then ask me to paste my week...

How to read your results honestly

Two traps to avoid. First, don't rationalise your overhead ("but the admin has to get done") without asking whether you specifically have to be the one doing it. Second, watch the marketing and self-investment tiers, they're the favourite hiding places for work that feels productive but isn't moving anything. The goal isn't to gut your week. It's to protect delivery and pipeline, and to be ruthless about who, or what, handles the rest.
